The next stage of the process is for all interested parties to submit offers and plans to Swindon Borough Council and then they will decide who to sell the development to.

Whilst we will be ensuring an appropriate market offer for Apsley House, some housing developers may try and offer significantly higher than market value as turning the development into flats, is a quick win for them, but a loss for Old Town.

We want to build public, business and political support behind our plans for Apsley House because:

• Swindon Borough Council have to factor in the merits and “social good” of each developer’s proposals and not just the offer on the table.

• We want to build a development that is proven to be supported by the community of Old Town.

• We will then use your support to encourage the council to consider the best development option, and not just who will put in the most money.
