What happens now?
We are currently collecting provisions of interest for the units at Apsley House.
When full planning is submitted (in summer-autumn 2023) we will be choosing our preferred operators and formalising offers and contracts.
What to do now?
We are looking for serious operators to put together:
Micro business plan including concept, brand and delivery
Proof of finance
So we would recommend all interested parties to start putting together a proposal for the site.
We will then be in touch in the coming weeks to ask you to formalise your plans. As has been mentioned in the press, Apsley Corner is not about who is prepared to offer the most money (we are establishing fair market value for the units with independent advice), but who has the strongest commercial opportunity for the site. We are prioritising operators who will bring:
Something new to Old Town
Creative products, brands and ideas
Boutique, niche retail options
High-end food options for F&B units
Please be aware the 4 mixed units on the ground floor have existing tenants with existing leases that will be honoured.
The focus on first new business selection will be on the restaurant, cafe, co-work space and retail unit in the main house.
