It looks very good indeed. Old Town should be the cultural hub of Swindon and become a "destination"

I am writing in my capacity as both local resident for 30 years and in my professional role as a Manager at Ernst & Young and Partnership Manager for the Department for International Trade covering South Central regions of the UK including Swindon.
The proposed plans for Apsley House and the development of Apsley Corner would be a welcome addition to the existing vibrant economy of Old Town in Swindon. As a local resident who regularly frequents the cafes, shops and restaurants in Old Town with my family and friends this would further add to the offering in the area.
As my role focusing on inward investment, economic development, and who regularly brings international businesses to the region, assets such of this would increase the attractiveness of Swindon as a destination to live and work.

An inspired proposal that could enhance an historic building of importance to Old Town and Swindon - I am pleased to support this initiative.

Ruth Lambert, Federation of Small Business
I am writing in my capacity as Development Manager for Swindon and Wiltshire for the Federation of Small Businesses. We are a membership organisation supporting small businesses and working to ensure they are provided with local opportunities to start, grow and thrive. We would support these proposed plans for Apsley House as they would provide multiple opportunities for independent businesses to run the retail and hospitality units and to make use of the proposed coworking space. This design would bring new businesses into Old Town and provide additional footfall which would also benefit the existing businesses based there. We hope that this proposal will be given some serious consideration by Swindon Council.
